After making his debut at Glyndebourne last season with Mozart Don Giovanni, Ben returns to conduct Rossini Il Barbiere di Siviglia featuring a dynamic young cast, directed by Annabel Arden. The production premieres on 8 October with performances running throughout the month before going on tour to Canterbury, Norwich, Milton Keynes and Plymouth.

Sandwiched between performances at Glyndebourne, Ben makes his debut with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin in a performance at the Berlin Philharmonie on Wednesday 18 October. The programme features Elgar’s In the South and Britten’s Four Sea Interludes as well as the Ginastera Harp Concerto performed by Agnes Clement and the world premiere of Luke Bedford Concerto for Orchestra and Saxophone Quartet performed by the Arcis Saxophone Quartet.
